Blue Line is a gateway sculpture: an artwork denoting the entry or departure of South Evanston. Brenner designed and built Blue Line with the intent of transforming a CTA bridge into a sculpture that utilizes the effect of motion across distance. As the viewer's perspective changes, the steel fins conceal or reveal different light and glass panels, implying movement through the sculpture.
